Teaching speaking skills to the In-service learners at Hai Phong University faces many difficulties and requires effective teaching methods. This research explores the difficulties encountered by the English teachers at Hai Phong University when using the Communicative Language Teaching in the process of teaching English speaking skills to the In-service learners with the desire to make suitable suggestions for improving the quality of teaching and learning speaking skills.
