Tóm tắt
The textile and apparel industry represents a strategic pillar of Vietnam’s economy. The
accelerated development of Industry 4.0, the intensification of globalization, and the imperative of
sustainability have posed profound challenges to the sector’s human resources. The growing demand
for a highly qualified workforce - characterized by advanced professional competence, creative thinking,
and the ability to adapt to cutting-edge technologies- has become increasingly urgent. To date, the
higher education system has not adequately met the practical requirements for training a high-quality
labor force in the textile and apparel industry. This study provides a critical analysis of the current status
and limitations of higher education and proposes policy-oriented solutions for strengthening human
resource development in the textile and apparel sector through comprehensive higher education reform.
The overarching objective is to cultivate a workforce capable of responding effectively to the evolving
demands of both domestic and international markets.
